Our Solution

Guided by both deep historical knowledge of the local ecology and modern environmental engineering, our project design includes:

Sediment and Gravel Removal

From a side channel and parts of Powerline Bar in an effort to encourage the return of Chum salmon

Restoration Works

Placement of indigenous plants and large woody debris in the side channel to increase resting and rearing areas for various salmonid and sturgeon species

Enhanced by

Removal of invasive Himalayan Blackberry and ongoing efforts to monitor and mitigate impacts of gravel accretion and invasive plants
